A Participants View:
Marjorie Bakken, President, Wheelock College.
“I had little expectation that the presidents [of the Colleges of the Fenway consortium] could agree on much, but we did…I was surprised and pleased by the skill of the facilitator to lead an interesting, lively discussion about key issues that the colleges must face. And everyone agreed that the discussion was great—another surprise. He [the facilitator] provided materials for quick overview and discussion by the presidents.”
Strategic Planning Process
Prior to the formation of Stevens Strategy, John Stevens, as a senior member of another firm, provided the design and facilitation of a 5-phased strategic planning process to this HBCU, Jackson State University, which included the creation and facilitation of a state-wide Blue Ribbon Commission responsible for working with the state legislature to promote the university’s plans.
