…What can I say? You have helped Cabrini College develop two strategic plans–one with your new company. Faculty cooperation in this important area is critical and both you and Brendan understand this and are successful in bringing this about… We had an excellent meeting with Brendan recently and are looking forward to our meeting in a few weeks. The process is a good one for my Cabinet since we are all “intuitive” types and forcing us to be more deliberate with goals, objectives, etc. is needed and a good discipline for us.

I just wanted to say how amazing and wonderful we think [Brendan is]. I know that we are not always the easiest group of people to lead… We all [are] in agreement about the value–despite the tedium–of the process. I know that John knows how lucky he is to have [Brendan], but I also know that it doesn’t hurt to remind people.
– Jonnie G. Guerra, PhD, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Cabrini College

Prior to joining Stevens Strategy, Tom Emmet provided an assessment of an institution for a new president and developed institution-wide policy manuals with this president at multiple institutions.

…I have always appreciated Tom’s work. When I first came to Cabrini College over 15 years ago, I asked Tom to do a ‘quick and dirty’ assessment of the place and to please do it on a low budget. I frequently have reviewed that report that Tom did for me—he was right on target in identifying the goals/challenges Cabrini faced. He was also extremely helpful in identifying some outreach opportunities which, unfortunately, we did not take advantage of…. I had used him to high satisfaction at both Colby-Sawyer College and the College of Mt. St. Joseph in Cincinnati. In addition to being knowledgeable about current higher education issues, he is also very knowledgeable about governance issues as they relate to Catholic Colleges—this is going to continue to be a ‘hot issue’ in the years ahead, and Tom can provide…a lot of expertise in this area…
